The educational philosophy of Garr Christian School is based on the belief that God is Truth, that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and contains this Truth, and that God wants us to know Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. God created all things and sustains all things; therefore, the studentÕs purpose is to know God, his Creator, and to make Him known. Language, mathematics, science, social studies, as well as art, music, and all other areas of learning are tools to help us understand God's creation and communicate that understanding with other people.

All instruction is taught in a manner consistent with Scripture and with a God-centered view of the world. Through the integration of facts with the Word of God and the God-centered interpretation of those facts, the school endeavors to promote academic learning, the appreciation of fine arts and physical skills, the respect for and understanding of government, and knowledge of the role of various cultures and social issues in the world in light of God's Word. Most importantly, the school desires to help students grow in the knowledge and appreciation of God and His Word and to respond to God's calling in their lives.

Established in response to God's leading as well as to the request of parents of children at Garr Playskool, the school believes in the importance of promoting close communication with the parents of the students, recognizing that God has given to parents the ultimate responsibility for the education of their children.

MISSION

GCA strives to provide a balanced educational program to develop well-rounded students. Working as a team with parents, the school provides a setting where the students can use language, science, mathematics, social studies, art, music, physical education, and all other areas of learning as tools to understand God and His creation and to communicate that understanding to other people.
