The ABA Program

Garr Christian Academy now offers a special individualized curriculum for children with developmental disabilities. The program is designed for children with language or social delays or those who are encountering problems in the large group environment provided by the public school system.

The program utilizes the principles of Applied behavior Analysis (ABA) along with B.F. Skinner’s analysis of Verbal Behavior (VB) to help modify behavior using positive reinforcement and to increase language and communication skills. These principles are used in a loving, Christian environment through:

- One to one intensive teaching
- Natural environment teaching
- Inclusive interaction with typically developing children

All staff have extensive training in ABA and VB principles and techniques, and several years of experience working with children with developmental disabilities. Our goal is to help each student reach their highest potential.
