School Curriculum
These pages feature the curriculum for each grade level. This curriculum is followed by our teaching staff to provide the highest possible level of achievement with each student. While our teachers have the freedom to add to the curriculum on an as need basis, each parent can expect the basic curriculum to be the guide for each class.

Sixth Grade
Bible - Sixth grade Bible is a survey of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation with an emphasis on Bible history and practical application. It gives a solid foundation of general knowledge of Scripture. Practical written projects are included.
Social Studies - Sixth grade social studies includes world geography, the study of the cradle of civilization, the civilizations of Greece and Rome, life in the middle ages, the countries of South America, Africa, Western Europe, Eastern Europe and a review of the development of our world. Written projects are included.
Language Arts - Sixth grade Language Arts includes studies of: the elements of grammar, grammar usage, reading skills, writing skills, newspapers and propaganda, literary forms, reading for a purpose, poetry, literature and a general review of the entire course. Written projects are included.
Mathematics - Sixth grade mathematics includes: numbers and place values, operations with whole numbers, advanced practice with whole numbers, decimal numbers, beginning fractions, multiplying and dividing fractions, decimals and fractions, geometry and measurement, statistics and graphing, and a general review. Projects are included.
Science - Sixth grade science includes studies of: plant systems, animal systems, plants and animal behavior, molecular genetics, chemical structure and change, light and sound, motion and its measurement, spaceship earth (a study of the earth as a planet in the solar system), astronomy and the stars, and the earth and natural science (a review). Experiments and projects are included.
Seventh Grade
Bible - Sixth grade science includes studies of: plant systems, animal systems, plants and animal behavior, molecular genetics, chemical structure and change, light and sound, motion and its measurement, spaceship earth (a study of the earth as a planet in the solar system), astronomy and the stars, and the earth and natural science (a review). Experiments and projects are included.
Social Studies - Seventh grade social studies includes an extensive study of the nature of history, the nature of geography, a basic study of the history and geography of the United States, an anthropological study of mankind, a cursory study of sociology, anthropology and sociology of the United States, economics, political science, and the economics and politics of a state. Written projects are included.
Language Arts - Seventh grade Language Arts includes studies of: nouns and correct usage, correct usage of verbs, speaking and listening, verb tenses, biographies and grammar (affixes), the structure of language, a brief study of the English language, the mechanics and structure of the English language, The Hiding Place, nonfiction and communication, writing and pronunciation, and a general review of the of the entire course. Written projects are included.
Mathematics - Sixth grade mathematics includes: numbers and place values, operations with whole numbers, advanced practice with whole numbers, decimal numbers, beginning fractions, multiplying and dividing fractions, decimals and fractions, geometry and measurement, statistics and graphing, and a general review. Eighth Grade
Bible - Eighth grade Bible is a practical general study of prayer, sin & salvation, the attributes of God, early church leaders, early church history, the early church, the Book of Proverbs, how to make proper choices, and understanding the family. Practical written projects are included.

Language Arts - Eighth grade Language Arts includes studies in: basic communication, the English Language, punctuation and literature, words and how to use them, correct language usage, language and literature, critical reading and paragraph skills, writing, listening, reading, a further study of the English language and a general review of the entire course. Written projects are included.
Mathematics - Eighth grade mathematics is a pre-algebra course which includes: place value and sets, factors and multiples, fractions and rounding, fractions and percent, numbers, formulas and geometry, integers, the variable, statistics, graphs, and probability, and a general pre-algebra review. Projects are included.
Science - Eighth grade science includes studies of: science and society, structure and matter, health and nutrition, energy, machines, balance in nature, and science and technology. Experiments and projects are included.
Ninth Grade
Bible - Ninth grade Bible is a practical study which includes: an introduction to the New Testament, the Gospels, the Pauline Epistles, the General Epistles, the Revelation, Job and suffering, how to share the Gospel, and the will of God for your life. Practical written projects are included.
Social Studies - Ninth grade social studies is a study of the earth and man, the tools of the geographer, the various regions of the world, the heritage of the United States, our national government, our state and local governments, citizenship, mankind’s responsibilities, planning a career, and man in a changing world. Written projects are included.
Language Arts - Ninth grade Language Arts includes studies of: the structure of language, the nature of language, words and writing, language in literature, reading with skill, persuasion, visual aids, poetry, communication, the library, drama, novels, and a general review of the entire course. Written projects are included.
Mathematics - Ninth grade mathematics is an algebra one course which includes: variables and numbers, solving equations and inequalities, problem analysis and solution, polynomials, factors, algebraic fractions, radical expressions, graphing, systems, quadratic equations and review. Projects are included.
Science - Ninth grade science is a physical science course which includes studies of: atomic structure, volume, mass and density, physical geology, historical geology, oceanography, astronomy, body health, the various bodily systems, disease organisms, infections, medical advances, science and the future, and a general review of the entire course. Experiments and projects are included.
Tenth Grade
Bible - Tenth grade Bible is a more in-depth study of the Old Testament and its history. It includes the period of Creation to Abraham, the time from Abraham through the time of Joseph, the Exodus and wilderness wanderings, conquering the Promised Land, the United Kingdom period, the Divided Kingdom Period, the Remaining (Southern Kingdom), the Babylonian Captivity, and the Restoration Period. Practical written projects are included.
Social Studies - Tenth grade social studies includes a study of ancient civilizations, civilization during the Medieval Period, renaissance and reformation, the growth of world empires, the Age of Revolution, the Industrial Revolution, the two World Wars, our contemporary world, and a review from ancient times to the present. Written projects are included.
Language Arts - Tenth grade Language Arts includes studies of: language structure, writing effective sentences, writing and reading skills, speaking and listening skills, the development of English, the short story, studies in the novel, drama, poetry, and a general review of the entire course. Written projects are included.
Mathematics - Tenth grade mathematics is an in-depth geometry course which includes: A general introduction to geometry, logic, angles and parallels, congruent triangles and quadrilaterals, similar polygons, circles, area and volume, coordinate geometry, transformations, and a general review. It will include applied logic, construction of geometric figures, and various projects.
Science - Tenth grade science is a biology course which includes studies of: taxonomy, the basis of life, microbiology, cells, plants and photosynthesis, human anatomy and physiology, genetics, cell division and reproduction, ecology, pollution, and energy, and the principles and applications of biology. Experiments and projects are included.
Electives
Consumer Math
Consumer math includes: a basic math review, personal finances, statistics, taxes and insurance, banking services and investments, banking and credit costs, purchase and sale of goods, leisure, travel, and retirement, job related services, and a general consumer math review. Projects are included.
High School Health
High school health includes studies of: body essentials, physical health, social and mental health, preventative health care and first aid, and responsible living. Projects are included.
Home Economics
Home economics includes studies of: Christian character and appearance, practical culinary applications, health and nutrition, healthy cooking, fashion design and application, interior decorating, etiquette and entertaining in the home, basic home maintenance, domestic finances and money management, child development and care, and basic familial relationships. Practical projects are included.
Spanish
Courses are available in introductory Spanish, Spanish 1, and Spanish 2. The courses are designed toward the practical intermediate mastery of the Spanish language and the functional use of Spanish in real life situations. Visual, oral, tactile, and auditory learning are combined for a complete learning experience.
The Story of the Constitution
This course is designed to give a strong working knowledge of the history, origin, content and development of the Constitution of the United States of America. It includes studies of: the struggle of the colonies for independence, the formation of our nation, the writing and ratification of the Constitution, the Preamble, Articles One through Seven, Amendments One through Fifteen, the Twentieth Century Amendments, and the principles and nature of our Constitution. Projects are included.
State History (Standard Edition)
The standard edition of the State history curriculum includes: a general introduction to our state, the history and culture of our state, our state government, our state economy, and state citizenship. Various projects in civil and industrial subjects are included.
